INDEED

Strengthening comprehensive approach to preventing and counteracting radicalisation based on evIdeNce-based moDEl for Evaluation of raDicalisation prevention

The main aim of the INDEED project is to use an evidence-based approach to strengthen practitioners’ capabilities and skills to evaluate preventive, counter and de-radicalisation initiatives (such as interventions and programmes) and to better design, plan, implement and thus improve these activities in an effective and proven manner. This aim will be achieved by providing the common evidence-based evaluation model (EBEM) and evaluation tool(s) dedicated to PVE/CVE and De-radicalisation initiatives (long-term comprehensive programs, short-term actions and ad-hoc interventions) and by providing integrated set of capacity building programmes, services (including trainings) and learning toolkits to support practitioners and key sectors in the field

Since de-radicalzation required multiple-actors and a combination of approaches, INDEED is based on a multi-disciplinary, multi-agency and multi-stakeholder approach and effective cooperation between all actors involved, as Law Enforcement Agencies, schools and education, prison and probation services, social services, as well as local authorities, municipalities and civil society organisations. The INDEED purpose is to strengthen the tools that provide to law enforcement authorities and other practitioners to fight radicalisation and cross-border terrorism crime.

Activities

INDEED adopts a five-pronged approach to produce the planned evidence-based model for the evalution tool.

1. INDEED will identify the state of the art to establish the emprical foundation of the project.

2. We will involce practitioners througout the project inorder to co-create and deliver taylored solutions.

3. We develope inovative toolkits based on the common evidence-based evaluation model for the entire CVE/PVE and De-Redicalisation lifecycle, which cover all aspects from design, over implementation to evaluation.

4. We move to trial and validate INDEED’s outcomes, as well as asses their value in close cooperation with practitioners.

5. An e-learning plattform and the toolkit will be implemented, inorder to facilitate the training of practioners and the dissemination of project results.

INDEED activities and deliverables will consider standards of data protection, privacy and social acceptability.
