Boderlink Kick Off

VICESSE was hosting the Kick-off meeting of the Horizon Europe BORDERLINK project from May 26 to May 28. (https://www.borderlink.eu), coordinated by CBR from Belgium. The BORDERLINK consortium brings together 18 partners and is looking into the work of European customs agencies to develop solutions to address smuggling of illicit goods into and across Europe (such as weapons, drugs and other illicit material). The project will significantly improve the performance of and cooperation among national customs agencies by creating shared data bases and developing and testing cutting technologies supporting the work of customs agencies. Umut Turksen and Reinhard Kreissl from VICESSE are the partners in the consortium responsible for all ethical, legal and societal dimensions of the research. The project started in March 2025 and will run for 36 months.
