Roger von Laufenberg delivered key note presentation at the Net4Society brokerage event "Artificial intelligence in Horizon Europe calls: an interdisciplinary challenge"
At the Net4Society online brokerage event "Artificial intelligence in Horizon Europe calls: an interdisciplinary challenge", Roger von Laufenberg delivered a keynote presentation on "The added value of SSH Expertise in a technology-oriented project", sharing VICESSE’s experiences in technology projects with more than 400 participants. Roger not only focused on how social science research can be successfully implemented in these kinds of projects and what the added value thereof can be, but also addressed more substantial questions on the role of SSH, such as whether SSH is just a facilitator of systemic transformations, or is also able to challenge the transformation in question? These questions also connect to the new VICESSE blog post by Reinhard Kreissl "Pathways and dead-ends – Some ideas about the impact of SSH in European research and policy".
