Brown bag on the criminalisation of exploitative housing

VICESSE welcomed Václav Walach, a critical criminologist from Ostrava, Czechia. Giving a talk about the criminalisation of exploitative housing, he discussed different legal as well as theoretical approaches to this highly cutting-edge topic. Václav aims to articulate a robust interpretative framework regarding private landlords who exploit the housing need of low-income and racialized households in Czechia. 

VICESSE remains in contact with Václav in order to organise a broader network of Central- and Eastern European critical criminologists.
